Growing, Inspiring, and Changing Together – A Conversation with Jana for International Women’s Day

For International Women’s Day, we are speaking with inspiring women from the PURELEI team about their values, experiences, and personal definitions of empowerment. Today, Jana gives us insight into her world and how she dedicates herself with passion, optimism, and determination to the projects closest to her heart. Let her story inspire you!

Introduce yourself – who are you, and what do you do at PURELEI?

My name is Jana, and I am the Lead for Event & Experience at PURELEI, as well as in charge of our charity projects. Both of these areas excite me on a personal and professional level, and I am incredibly grateful for this role.

What inspires you the most on a daily basis?

I am inspired by the big and small successes I see around me—whether in my personal life, in my work, or in others. Looking back at my own past achievements also serves as a great source of motivation.

How do you want to inspire other women?

Especially in charity work, the most important thing is: just start! Every first step matters—no matter how small it seems or what your inner critic says. My own projects also started small and have now become a meaningful part of my life.

Which woman has influenced or inspired you the most?

Definitely the women in my family—especially my mother and grandmother. I would describe them as strong and resilient women.

What is your superpower?

My superpower is a mix of optimism, resilience, and an unstoppable drive to take action.

What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

For me, International Women’s Day is a day when we can all focus on this important cause together. But at the same time, I believe it’s just as crucial to keep the focus beyond this day and continue working toward change every single day.

What does empowerment mean to you?

For me, empowerment is not just about raising my own voice but also encouraging others to do the same. At the same time, it’s about recognizing that some people may not have that opportunity—and speaking up even louder for them.

What do friendships between women mean to you?

For me, female friendships are the spice of life—they make the good moments even better and the tough ones easier. Life without my friends? Unimaginable!

What gives you more strength: courage or community?

Definitely courage. Some paths you just have to walk alone—or at least take the first step by yourself.

What does “Together, We Grow” mean to you?

It means seeing other women as inspiration, not as competition. It’s about recognizing what we can learn from each other and how we can support one another.

How do you define female strength?

For me, female strength is about facing challenges with courage, staying true to your values, respecting your own boundaries, and still remaining empathetic.
