Interview with Sissi and Ben Melzer

For the Mahina Club Romance Edition of February 2024, Sissi Melzer and Benjamin Melzer were in front of the camera. Because for us, it was obvious that these two embody everything that inspired us for the Romance Edition: love, romance, unconditional trust, and the magical connection between two hearts.

Would you like to get to know Sissi and Ben better?

Get to know the couple in this interview and find out what makes a healthy relationship for them.

If you had to describe each other in just three words, which words would you choose?

Ben about Sissi: Loving, selfless, caring.
Sissi about Ben: Charismatic, loving, loyal.

How did you meet and what were your first impressions of each other?

We met through Instagram and found each other super attractive, but we were initially cautious and only started talking to each other after a few months. When I saw Ben live for the first time, I was absolutely blown away by his charisma.

What traits do you admire most about each other?

It's difficult to name just one thing, but I love Ben's quick wit and humor. I love Sissi's optimism and her ability to see the positive in things and people.

Was there a special moment when you realized, "This is the person I want to spend my life with"?

There wasn't a specific moment. Instead, there have been many individual moments where we realized that we feel safe with each other, understand each other, support each other, and feel at home, and so on.

With the Mahina Club Romance Edition, we celebrate love in all its forms: partnership, friendship, family. How do you feel about the Mahina Club Romance Edition and what does it mean to you personally?

The delicate pieces of jewelry are timeless and can be styled in many ways. Just as versatile as love can be. Everyone has a different understanding of the perfect relationship or partnership, and not everyone can understand all its forms. We think it's great that all forms are highlighted for this great occasion and we are proud to be a part of it with our love.

What does a romantic date look like for you?

Preferably togetherness without phones, without distractions, delicious food/cooking, wellness, or going to the cinema.

How do you show your love for each other and your loved ones in everyday life?

Through small attentions, gestures, and loving words.

How do you cheer each other up on a bad day?

By making each other laugh and figuring out what the trigger for the negative mood is, possibly taking on some work or creating some time off.

If you could send a message to your 10-year-old self, what would you say?

„Trust in you“ and „I am proud of you“.

What is your tip for a happy and fulfilling relationship, based on your own experiences?

Communication, trust, and being on equal footing.

Who are Sissi and Ben Melzer? 

If you didn't know Sissi and Ben Melzer before the Mahina Club Romance Edition, we want to change that, of course. Elisabeth "Sissi" Marie Melzer, formerly Hofbauer, is a German model and runs the Fine-Art stationery "TheCollage". She first appeared on television in 2014 when her sister Anna Hofbauer was "The Bachelorette" on German TV. Together with Benjamin, she participated in "Das Sommerhaus der Stars 2021", where they came in second place. In 2022, Sissi was seen on TV again as a contestant on "Kampf der Realitystars" in Thailand. Benjamin "Ben" Ryan Melzer is a bestselling author with his book "Finally Ben: Transgender - My Journey from Girl to Man", a German model, and besides participating in "Das Sommerhaus der Stars 2021", he was also seen on TV in 2016 when he competed on "Ninja Warrior Germany". In May 2023, Sissi and Ben celebrated their love with a dream wedding in Santorini and exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones. Currently, they are working on their next big project, the renovation of their shared home.
