The Perfect Summer Brunch - inspired by the Oahu Collection

To properly introduce our new Oahu Collection we’ve had a fabulous summer brunch together with Flo and Amelie including a pool, lots of fresh fruits and fun. If these impressions inspire you to host a summer brunch for your friends, here are some ideas to make your brunch event even more memorable.

Summer brunch essentials:

  • Fresh fruits should always be a big part of a summer brunch. They are not only delicious, but also bring color to your setting. Strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, pineapple, grapes or kiwis – we could go on like this forever. Get whatever you like, arrange it on a plate or make a fruit salad. Another plus for a summer brunch: Sooo many fruits are in season, yummy!
  • You want some more tropical vibes? Serve the fruit salad or homemade granola in coconut bowls!

  • Natural materials are always a good idea. Wooden boards and woven placemats make a nice base for your decorations. Combine flowers, greens and your favorite tableware, et voila, you are ready to brunch!
  • Coffee, tea or juices are essential – but let’s add something a little more extra, like a nice and refreshing summer drink? Here’s something super easy to prepare for you in advance. All you need is:
  • 1l boiling water
  • 8 bags hibiscus tea
  • 100g honey
  • Ice cubes
  • 500ml sparkling water
  • A handful mint leaves
  • A large pitcher

Combine boiling water, tea bags and honey in a large pitcher and let it infuse for 30 to 60 minutes – depending on how strong you like it.

Remove tea bags. Add ice cubes to the pitcher and stir in sparkling water. Add mint leaves and refrigerate for about an hour. Now you can serve and enjoy it!

  • Tip for hot days: Freshen up your drink by putting blueberries or raspberries into an ice cube tray, fill it up with water and freeze it. Add the fruity ice cubes to your drink and together with bamboo or colorful glass straws you’ll get extra summer feelings.

  • Last but not least: Wear your favorite summer outfit and add some Aloha vibes with PURELEI jewelry!

Whether you brunch in your garden, on your balcony or inside of your flat or house, don’t forget: The most important component for a perfect summer brunch are the people you are spending time with. So don’t stress out too much, just have fun and enjoy the time together!

Now it’s your turn: What are your must-haves for brunch? Tell us all about it in the comments!

Love,

Chiara
