Power Woman Award: Anna Maria is our Power Woman of the Month!

Congratulations, Anna Maria!

German model and Germany's Next Topmodel candidate Anna Maria from Flensburg has been awarded our first Power Woman Award of the Month. With this award, we are celebrating strong women and positive role models, who inspire, empower and, in our understanding, live Aloha.

Empowered women empower women.

When asked to describe herself in three words, she expresses "confident, brave, helpful" in her preferred mode of communication: Sign language. Being deaf, life is definitely challenging in many aspects – and the way she successfully creates the life she wants to live is nothing but inspiring and empowering. Anna Maria is the best example that deaf people do have a voice: She is a great role model not only for her community, but also for everyone else.

Thank you for living Aloha with us.

To us at PURELEI, to live Aloha also means to give back and to live in gratitude. That is why the Power Woman Award comes with a 1000€ donation cheque to support a charity of the winner's choice.

Anna Maria will donate her prize money of 1000 Euros to UNICEF, a renowned organization supporting children in need, and it will especially support projects for children in India.

What inspired me most? Probably the way she faces challenges. Not giving them too much power over yourself but rather recognizing them as being a part of life that makes it what it is, is definitely something to look up to.

I would love to hear what you found most interesting about our very first Power Woman of the Month ... Leave your thoughts in the comment section.

I can't wait to hear from you & am looking forward to the upcoming inspiring stories to share with all of you. Until next month!

Stay safe!

Love Lauri
